Lodging

We're so excited for you to get to Coronado. It's one of our favorite places and Kacy loves to brag about growing up here. We are strongly recommending that guests stay on the island as it can be tough to get there from other parts of San Diego and all of the wedding events will be near our recommended hotels. We also wanted to share some thoughts when considering where to stay.

Airbnb/Vrbo

Coronado has restricted all short term rentals on the island. If you are traveling with your families, cousins, friends, etc - we have listed a few great options for resorts that have multi-room options. A few of them will have kitchens as well if that is important to you.

Off-Island Hotels

We know San Diego has some amazing places to stay and if that is where you'd like to spend your time - enjoy the great city! Getting around San Diego in the summer can be chaotic so we recommend building in at least 30 minutes to get back on the island for any events you'll be attending.

El Cordova

One of our favorite spots to stay in in Coronado. This would be a great option for couples and families. They have standard king size rooms as well as apartment style options with full kitchens and multiple rooms. This hotel is across the street from the Del and houses Kacy's favorite fish taco restaurant, The Brigantine. This would be one of our top 3 recommendations.

TODO

Hotel del Coronado

Coronado's pride and joy. The Hotel Del Coronado is famous for its iconic architecture and it's cameo in Marylin Monroe's Some Like it Hot. This is an exceptional option to stay for the weekend, but prices go up during the summer so we'd encourage you to book this place early. This would be one of our top 3 recommendations.

TODO

Glorietta Bay Inn

Right across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado is this hotel which overlooks Coronado's Glorietta Bay. You'll have beautiful views of the marina along with resort access to its amenities. A great selection if you know you want some quality pool time. This would be one of our top 3 recommendations.

TODO

Coronado Beach Resort

This resort offers studio and apartment style units. If you know you want a little more space, are bringing a few kids with you, or just want to bunk up with a group - this could be a great choice. Their multi-bedroom options are great and this is also across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado, so it offers a great location.

1906 Lodge

The lodge is a boutique style hotel which was renovated a few years ago by locals who went to high school with Kacy. Some units have half kitchens while others are more traditional bed and breakfast style rooms. Kacy and Ruairi have stayed here a few times due to its location and proximity to Orange Ave.

TODO

Hotel Marisol

The lodge is a boutique style hotel right off our Orange Avenue. It's a few blocks from the beach and the other hotels but everything in Coronado is just a short walk. It doesn't have a ton of rooms to offer so if you'd prefer to stay here, we'd recommend booking early. This hotel also does not have parking so if you plan to have a car, we'd suggest another hotel as parking can be tough during summer months.

TODO

Cherokee Lodge

This is another small B&B on the island. It's part of a larger home that has been turned into smaller units. It is definitely rustic with some older charm but if you're looking to book out a large space or just need somewhere to crash, it's located pretty close to the other events.

TODO

La Avenida Inn

This small inn is also right off of Orange Ave which is our main street. You can get a great price here and there is a small pool if that is important to you. This inn is also very close to the side of the island where the other hotels are located. At the time of writing (Feb 2024), they are currently renovating some rooms; if you hope to stay here, their website will be updated by June at the latest.

Coronado Marriott

This resort has some of the best views of San Diego's skyline. They offer tons of styles of rooms along with two different pools. A small warning we'd want to give is that this hotel is on the other side of the island from where most wedding events are happening. If you plan to stay here, I'd recommend building in 20 minutes for a bike ride or 15 minutes for a car with traffic.
